A.D.A.M. - AUTOMATED DELIVERY OF ALERTS ON MISSING CHILDREN

Updated: Oct 21, 2021

THE A.D.A.M. PROGRAM

When kids go missing, time is of the essence

In 2000, LexisNexis® Risk Solutions partnered with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) to create the ADAM™ Program to help locate missing children as quickly as possible. Our innovative technology is used to quickly distribute posters containing a photo of the missing child and case details to police, news media, schools, businesses, medical centers, and individuals within a specific, targeted geographic area.

Help find missing kids in your area

Businesses and individuals can receive these targeted alerts, so get involved and sign up today. You will only receive alerts for missing children in your area. When more people are receiving alerts in a targeted area, the greater the likelihood that someone will recognize the missing child and help NCMEC and authorities track and recover a missing child. Our goal is to increase the number of people receiving alerts, so please join us in the effort to bring missing kids home quickly and safely.

The ADAM Program is featured on Tomorrow’s World Today

Tomorrow’s World Today, an exciting new show on the Science Channel, explores the technology behind The ADAM Program. Watch episode 13 as they visit NCMEC and see how quickly ADAM can assist with the recovery of missing children.

Did You Know?

  • The ADAM Program was designed and donated to NCMEC by employees of LexisNexis Risk Solutions

  • This program was named in honor of Adam Walsh, who went missing in 1981

  • Employees who support ADAM use volunteer time to do so

  • ADAM has been credited with the recovery of nearly 200 missing children and assisted in the recovery efforts of countless other cases

“The ADAM Program enhances our photo distribution efforts by rapidly distributing images and information about missing children to targeted areas. The program is a key component of our recovery efforts.”
