I do not wish to offend anyone with my poem(s), my apologies to any American it does. But this is my view, my beliefs and my feelings, as when writing/re-remembering/etc
"Born American"
Born, but your already gone
The good Lord took you on
Left with life like a stray
Shaming us to this day
Repeatedly relationships shredded in every way
Dirty politics, everyone with their say
Do they own me or you, Are we a slave
Maybe their sounding just a wee little tad like those you can't save
(Terrorists/Killers/bad people who don't want/can't be saved)
Born we are with rights
For keeping our futures brights
Born American, we've waded thru the tears
And we will continue forward with no fears
A great country America, we are
As long as the dirty news are ran afar
Away from leading, working, controlling/conspiring, & speaking
To conspire, collaborate, & manipulate their dirty leaking
Learn to teach all types of love
Like started by our good Lord above
Not condemnation, shame & hate
All hold your head up, it's never to late
Born we are with rights
For keeping our futures brights
Born American, we've waded thru the tears
And we will continue forward with no fears
Being the proud nation that we are
Learn & hold them to that legal bar
For our leaders are always to care
Equal rights for one and all is fair
Born American
We are who we are's
Step out of the shadow stars
Face it all head on,
The gospel is not gone
Tis the next chapter forward
Amen

*******************************************
To my father, America's 35th U.S. President John F. Kennedy, assassinated in 1963, I love him overwhelmingly for eternity and beyond, which is who I am referring to in beginning of this poem of who I love, whole heartedly...my real/true father & nothing will ever change that, that's all there is to it, it's forever/eternity & beyond.
Glad we was able to get to the bottom of it all, to the whole relevant truth for sunnier tomorrow's. So many years went by with me not knowing the answers at all, then only knowing so little. Atlas I know the answers again.
Survivors (especially survivors) don't need zinger's, & wronged and harmed, this is my life first and foremost, nothing changing that, I am the one survived it, and my right to a voice about is my right.
We need to know basic details and knowledge of ourselves, the less we know, the more we get used and abused by others seeking taking advantage of us and our life/lives .
And a tad more info about me -
And to my departed friend Cindy. Who was my witness protection program foster stepguardian/stepmother, her and I was only 7.5 years apart in age, and our relationship was a roller coaster, many ups and downs, but for the last two decades+- of her life, with the birth of my daughter, she and I became friends, even though we did not agree with our past, how it was, and facts, I think she stayed in denial, and I accepted that of her, I believe it was more than she could cope with. I did love her, it couldn't been easy becoming a wppf step parent of me & step parent of Ronnie , & at such a young age.
And to my departed wppf brother Ronnie, I didn't care that we wasn't really brother and sister, I loved him and he will always be a brother to me regardless of who is parents was, he made that comment to me in 1995, October.
And I felt/feel the same way.
Forward is what life is, every new day is forward and it don't change the past.
To my father, JFK, who died whilst I was in the womb, I love you to the moon and back and more, for eternity and beyond.
We are who we are.
I am who I am.
Sincerely
Debbie Kennedy
