I came home from work one day
And much to my dismay
To find a letter on the door
Saying "Baby I don't love you anymore"
So I got into my car
I drove fast and far
I went to the mountains so high
Were I laid my head down to cry
I carved in stone, for all the world to see
I love you............And that's from me
I went back to the valley below
Driving around with no where to go
I returned home one sunrise
And much to my surprise
She said"I went to the mountains so high"
"And she laid her head down to cry"
"Carved in stone were the words so true"
"Carved in stone when you was down and blue"
"Carved in stone were words from you to me"
"And I so love you, so let it be".
