"Lee Dollar Hyde"

Unreleased
I'm gonna tell you a story
Of a man named Lee Dollar Hyde
From Kentucky on the Appalachian side
Had a moonshine still tucked deep into the ridge
And all the town folk knew runnin' moonshine was what he did
In those parts there was two things a man could do
And Lee was known for his smooth mountain brew
The dark coal mine was deep & took many lives
And not a resting place for a man like Lee Dollar Hyde
Not a resting place for a man like Lee Dollar Hyde
Well the revenue man knew Lee was up to no good
But Lee was sly Lee like moonshine Robin Hood
And revenuer man couldn't win & wanted Lee to pay
Pay for the shine & the jokes the town folk made
He'd pay for the shine & jokes the town folk made
I'll never forget that cold winter day
Cold day revenuer's gun took Lee away
When they laid him in the ground the sky cried
Or was it tears on my face for Lee Dollar Hyde
Only tears on my face for Lee Dollar Hyde
