Although, I suppose, mostly, those times are long forgotten
a big part of winter fun is just not chopping cotton.
After we put our hoes down and dance our Hoe-Downs
we filled the air with boisterous sounds
of, oh, what wonderful winter fun.
While trips to the beach would be long gone
we would still break into a happy song.
Everyone was invited to sing along
‘cause love and life were still going strong
through that wonderful fun that is winter.
There were so many delightful things to do;
with growing and maturing to live through.
Almost every day brings something new.
Winter was long but time just flew.
Oh, what wonderful fun is the winter.
There are so many winter holidays
with winter fires we can watch blaze
and we still have out God to praise.
The whole world is our bouquet
and we appreciate the joys of winter.
Some days in the colder climes
there are periods, days at a time,
when we long to see temperatures rise
and a perky blond ball fill those deep blue skies
but mostly we are loving our winter fun.
