Some Day Jesus
Some day Jesus; you & I will figure this out
My little life years,Where's did they go about
Years here yesterday, all gone today
Buts a bite of toast during that 3 yr old hospital stay
At's that hospital in '68, govt lied to many
Back n forth, here one, there none, where goeth nanny
Oh Lord, Here we go again
Then in blanknes, you & I began again
Some day Jesus, you & I will figure this out
The rockness of stability we had was gone
Still we held on
Wondering, what, who, how, & it a new dawn
Again, over again, encyclopedia reading
No definitions solid for our greeting
But each new day we try again
From A to Z, we read them all,
Mentioning of acts ?, trigger memory of our fall
Some day Jesus, you & I will figure this out
Promise you I did, never downed another fifth again
Year after year, riddle growing around us -
Who am I? You & I a knotted tie
Keeping most all inside, was you & I
Some day Jesus, you & I will figure this out
Couldn't finish growing fast enough
They hated you & I
Your father said, "He'd never abandon me"
True to his word, he's been; you stay by my side
Twisting us they did, to try to say we lied
Jesus did not die
He stands here before me ; no lie
Reborn some might say
He arised, remember the day
Some day Jesus, you & I are figuring this out
Hand n hand, across America, on our walkabout
Heaven, the Galaxies, & History; there no doubt
Thank you Jesus
Thank you God
& Thanks Holy Spirit
For God said "I will never abandon you"
True to his word to all & to Little Lady Blue
Tis days; Jesus & I figured this out
