WHERE AM I GOING? BY: LINDA BURNS

COURTESY OF ALLPOETRY.COM WEBSITE

I am going so they say to a home far away

To a celestial place above the starry sky.

It doesn’t matter what I’ve done for I follow the one

who forgives and leads me to his home on high.

(Chorus) I’m going away. I don’t know when.

I’m going away. I’ll see you there then.

Everyone I ever loved

will be waiting for me above.

I’m going away. I’m going away.

I’m going to lay this burden down.

Lay down my sorrow, pick up my crown.

Glory will burst forth when my savior I see

in that home sweet home he made just for me.

(Chorus) I’m going away. I don’t know when.

I’m going away. I’ll see you there then.

Everyone I ever loved

will be waiting for me above.

I’m going away. I’m going away.

WRITTEN BY: LINDA BURNS

Thursday December 9, 2021.

Before the year is over, I will, God willing,

have had my 75th birthday.

I welcome 2022.

AS ALWAYS:

May your muse be prolific and faithful and never leave you swinging in the blustering breeze of dry, fruitless frustration.

May you see the poetry in every situation and may your efforts be well received by your peers.

As time winds down, may you be where you need to be when you need to be there doing what you are meant to be doing.

Be Blessed!
